Privacy Policy — TicketHub Staff

This Privacy Policy describes how the TicketHub Staff mobile application collects, uses, and protects information when used by event staff to scan and validate event tickets.

Information we collect

The App is intended for use by authorized event staff. We collect:

  • Account information: email address and authentication credentials used to sign in.
  • Ticket scan data: QR code content scanned during ticket validation, validation result (valid / invalid / already used), and the timestamp of the scan.
  • Device identifiers: a session token issued by our backend after sign-in.
  • Diagnostic data: crash reports and basic app performance information used to keep the App stable.

The App uses your device camera only to read QR codes printed on tickets. Camera images are processed locally on the device and are not stored, recorded, or transmitted.

How we use your information

  • To authenticate staff and authorize access to event data.
  • To validate tickets at the event entrance and prevent reuse of the same ticket.
  • To provide event organizers with attendance and validation reports.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of (a) a contract between TicketHub and the event organizer that employs you, and (b) our legitimate interest in providing a secure ticket-validation service.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Scan data is shared only with the event organizer for which the validation is performed. Authentication and backend services are hosted on infrastructure providers acting as data processors on our behalf.

Data retention

  • Account data is retained while your staff account is active.
  • Scan logs are retained for the duration required by the event organizer, typically up to 12 months after the event.
  • Diagnostic / crash data is retained for up to 90 days.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, email:

Security

Communication between the App and our backend is encrypted using HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored securely on the device using the operating system's secure storage.

Children

The App is intended for adult event-staff use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated via the App or via email to registered users.
